While I like a certain amount of patina on survivor cars, this one is rusty and that needs correction. Another area of editing that I enjoy is doing survivors, like this one, to repair rust and do some modifying, when I wish to see what it looks like. Also, the setting this old Ford is sitting in is very busy, and detracts from the car as a result, so I blanked it out in the final edit to better enjoy what the car is and, in my imagination, what it can be.
As found:
Some body cleanup and also some background cleanup:
The body is now straight and ready for sanding, high fill primer, block sanding and paint:
What do you think? Is it worth finishing or should one just drive it as is?
Enjoy!
It should be finished. This is one model that should not be left in a Patina or rust state.
I, too, agree - it begs to be finished. The forty-one is a great looking car. Paint not too dark that it hides the nice curves of the car's body.
I agree with the others....it deserves to be finished for sure!
@carsman1958 I agree John and in the way it came off of the assembly line.
