But history is mostly written by the winners.....
Another history comes from the losers...
And according to Frank Herbert's Dune, historians are the most powerful people in the world, because they have the power to let us see history as they see fit.

True to a point Joop, but we today with Social Media are having a hard time keeping any sense of facts in history with no research, and lots of opinion.

The old adage, "Figures don't lie, but liars can figure," applies to words too. There are facts, truths, half-truths, lies & opinions. One must do their own research to weed out facts but as David alluded to, in this world of opinionated Social Media, facts are often lost in the sauce.
Remember: It's easier to fool people than it is to convince them that they have been fooled.
