I found the GM "A" body shapely and attractive (although I actually prefer the Buick GS front and rear end treatment to the Chevelle).

Apologies to Mopar fans but I found this Plymouth a crudely styled (styled?) tin box, although I accept that in the metal it may have had a badass "presence" which has always escaped me in photos.

In purely stylistic terms it's the Chevelle for me.

As much as I like both, the Chevelle wins. I agree with Graeme. Plus the higher level of trim is better too.

I very much prefer the Chevelle in this instance. My father owned one and I got to drive it on multiple occasions, a very sound and well designed vehicle.

Both are beautiful and powerful muscle cars ! Both Chevrolet and Plymouth can be proud of these strong mid-size offerings for 1969.

This is great... I just clicked on to this post to choose between the Chevelle and the Roadrunner and the Beatles came on playing 'Baby You Can Drive My Car'.

I like both of them but I'm choosing the Roadrunner because when I took my driver's training in high school we had a Roadrunner and I remember how much fun we had as the Roadrunner had been a brand new model for 1968.

I'll always remember the horn !

My vote goes to the Chevy on this one.  The Plymouth is bulky in comparison...at least in the photo.

Much prefer the Plymouth. To my eye, its styling has stood the test of time far better than the Chevy, which looks very dated today.

PLYMOUTH PLEASE. After '67 I did not care for any of the GM mid-size cars, loved Dodge & Plymouth mid-size '66 to '70.

As much as I love Mopar's, my vote went with the 69 Chevelle, which is my utmost favorite of the 60's chevelle's.
