Too easy.....I just cheat and sign my notes "Jack's wife" which seems to work; mind you the sales staff ARE on commission......

We moved into a new townhouse about 18 years ago. All the walls were white. When it was time to work with the painter and choose colors, my wife worked with painter. I just wrote the check. This worked well.
