HA! .... reminds me of COVID, when I walked into a bank wearing a baseball cap and full-face mask. "Just a few months earlier," I joked, "You would've hit the silent alarm!"

I always thought that UBER would never get certification to operate because of the lack of rigid scrutiny and licensing maintenance equal to that of the taxi industry.

rigid scrutiny
It's kind of like eBay Jack. The "rigid scrutiny" comes from the public in the form of feedback, not unlike eBay. If any operator/driver can't earn a "positive" feedback rating, then he's essentially put out of business. The system isn't 100% foolproof but it works well.
