Always a fan of outstanding customer service, I thought I'd share:

After just 9 months of use, our backyard (virtually indestructible ) Hydrotech 100' expandable hose - that I registered - developed a leak between the yellow coupler and silver the machined metal fitting.    I couldn't believe it!  😳 😲

- I filed as claim.

I was notified this morning that my NEW 100' hose will arrive, at my door, within 5 days - AND - my TEN-YEAR warrantee is still in effect, should something happen again.

Now that's outstanding service!    😊 😊 😊 😊

Awesome customer service that harkens back to yesteryear! We have had the Copper Bullet model for about 4 years now with no problems. It's only 50 feet long but also expanding/collapseable.

@perrone1 Thats great Chris, seems like customer service like that is getting rarer by the day. We have 3 of the Copper Bullet hoses also Tony. We've had them several years with no issues. 💯

@chris

Too many companies just don't care, or, don't know how to provide excellent customer service.

I've said many time that companies that want to survive will be the ones that provide excellent customer service. Your situation would be an example.

@lloyd-mecca Honestly, over the past 3-4 years I've noticed a sharp increase in very good - great customer service.   As you noted, those that want to survive NO longer take "customers"  for granted.....    well, at least many of the companies I'm dealing with.

Trust me, I'm NOT complaining!  👍 👍 👍

I was heading up to Reno for a meeting, one afternoon, and I stopped into Nordstrom's on the way to see if I could get pair of Cole Haan tassle loafers, in burgundy, which I have been wearing for nearly forty years.  At the time, I had a pair in the closet that I had never worn and I had them with me to see if they could be stretched, as I had gained a pound (okay, maybe three).  The young saleswoman opened the box and looked over my shoes, before she left me for a couple of minutes.  When she returned, she handed me another brand new pair, in the right size, and took mine back into stock.  Her reason for doing so was she could tell the ones I brought with me had never been worn.  When I offered her my CC she declined to accept it, telling me she hoped I would continue to bring my custom to Nordstroms.  That is how to create a life-long customer.  Yes, I did buy other goods while I was there.  It would have been unseemly not to have done so, right?

Great story!

Here's another, LSS:

Years ago, a friend and his wife checked in late at a nice hotel - everyone called them by name as they were treated with the utmost respect.   That next afternoon, as they made their way through the hotel, the lobby, and ultimately to their car - everyone again called them by name as they were greeted with well wishes and salutations - BUT - the staff was completely different; this was the day shift.

How did everyone know my friend's (and his wife's ) name?  🤔        He had to ask.  🤨

Turns out, it was policy that Polaroids be taken so that ALL shifts would KNOW guest's names.      Today, of course, such a policy we undoubtedly be cause for litigation, but way back when....    my friends were impressed!      👍
