...that makes two of us. That article was NOT about the car I'd thought they were going to mention. I'd love to drive one. 😎Â
New to me. I would have been interested in buying one back then had I known about it and if it had been marketed in Canada.
Looks like a 1965 Dodge Dart GT, where does it say Charger on it? It's just a trim package? Bought my fiance a two year old '66 Dart GT, it was mauve with a white interior hardtop. Never got a pic of it but it looked like this one though.

That is just a 65 Dodge Dart with the V8. As most know this car even though it was listed as GT, it mainly came with the 225 ci 6 cylinder engine. My brother had one in the exact color shown. Had a slapstick shifter. He thought about dropping a V8 in it, but ended up selling it and bought a 66 Cadillac Sedan DeVille.
Very interesting article on this initial series Dart-based Charger, John ! It looks great and is pretty rare, too.
I think the car shown in the original post above has been modified. The hood scoops show "340," and there are Charger nameplates on the front fenders. Still, the truth is that the Charger was a package offered on the Dart in 1965. Volo cars has featured one, and so has Lou Constable. Check out these videos.

I'm not too taken with the wheels but it's a really nice looking car...and something a bit different.
Wow, what a great-looking car ! This one really is terrific and pretty rare, too. It sure would make a great model in any scale !
@jack-dodds, the only production car ever that came standard with Cragars.
