During the past week I've posted a few messages on Forum43 from my contacts in Kyiv, but have decided to posted here as it was becoming a bit too "political" for that forum.
Vlad Sorokolat has made two 1/43 Cadillac models having exceptional detail. He has left Kyiv by car and, last I heard, made his way with his family, some food, and a cat(!) to Lviv on the west near the border with Poland. I don't know if he will be able to cross, since he is in the conscription category of age 16-60, but surely his family will.
Vlad Pivtorak, who owns EMC models, e-mailed me just last week about EMC's latest offering, a beautiful Mercedes-Benz 710SS cabriolet. Just a few days later, after I asked after his well-being, he e-mailed this on 2/27 (unedited):

I don't know much about the referenced website, so a bit of caution here. However, I do know that Save the Children is collecting for the Ukrainian families. I've been watching the news, as I am sure many of you have, even seeing the NYC Ukraininan choir opening Saturday Night Live. Volodymer Zelensky's bravery and resolve comes through on news clips, even when he isn't speaking English. He is a new hero for this divided world.

@ed-davis Probably if Mikhail shows up. Does anyone know if he will? These are the models I heard about a week ago, no telling what will happen with them. But they are beauties, just a bit too pricey for me.

@joop There will be a 1/43 show on March 19, and a toy show (mostly cars of all scales, incl. kits) on March 20 in Countryside, IL, just outside Chicago. There have been several posts in Forum43. I wish you luck finding that Horch - I'm holding on to mine.
