Walmart broke a piece of my on-line,by-mail food order....the refund process was smooth, and I was not asked to return the broken food

Couple days later, I`m offered the opportunity to double down on my good fortune by winning scads of money!

It`s an email from WM customer service !!!  "Tell us about your return or item replacement experience!" they write almost hesitantly, though the excitement in their tone can clearly be surmised!!

Apparently they`ve set aside a cool grand,just to make things right....$1000.00 !!!!

"Tell us about your return or item replacement experience!"......they have already expressed an undeniable affinity for me,telling me,in not so many words,"just go ahead and eat the broken food John",and now this heartfelt reaching out !!!

Since they haven`t entirely shaken their sense of guilt at having wronged me,they just wanna sit and talk, after which they will further attempt to save face and cement our now shaken,personal/professional relationship by giving me the Hush Money...

What the hell........I wade in to the short survey.........keyboard clacking at a pace that scares away the cat......question after question...screen after screen.....all of which I answer with a shameless awarding of top scores for each category....an example:"When we sent you food and later leaned from you that one food was broken, were you happy with how easy it was to share this information with us?".....and then, once again,I select the very top pre-selected answer

..........this goes on so long that my cat returns to the room

Just as my right index finger begins to spasm from the prolonged activity, comes a screen I was TOTALLY unprepared to see

THIS page wants "name / address / phone number ..............................etc etc etc"

It`s me !!!! It`s me !!! You sent me stuff !!! Remember ?????

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  Walmart ..................can I EVER trust you as a confidant again?

Not Walmart but on amazon bought a power washer from a dealer using their site,on trying it out found it leaking a small amount of oil ,contacting them to return it for a refund and was told we are refunding the full amount ....oh and don’t worry about returning the washer. Now that just plain astounded me! Still leaking but also still working just fine....

You  have been scammed, not by Walmart.  This is unfortunately a common situation.  Somebody, not Walmart, wants all that information.   Walmart has all that information.
