It is 1957, you need a new car, you are 30 years old, you make a comfortable wage, you have a family of four, you need at least a 4 passenger vehicle, it will be your only vehicle, your daily driver. What new vehicle would you buy?

My choice is the Desoto Fireflite:

I'm stuck on this color combination for 56, 57, and almost in 58.

Always an Edsel fan. Yours must be 1 of 8 pre-production models built on 4/15/57 in Mahwau, NJ.
