Yes, they are. The frame on the right initially appears to have more of an angle to the left side of the shot but only when placed next to the same image. Move the separate image on the left, to the right side, and it will do the same.

This commentary by some very deep thinkers may be all true but I think the guy who painted the buildings ought to have used tape for better color separation.
