Leonardo da Vinci (contd.)

A few days ago JK was kind enough to bring to our attention an important historical illustration relating to Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. By pure coincidence I have just been reading a book by the British humorist Alan Coren. His trademark was to take a newspaper headline and weave a surreal fantasy version of the story behind it. Here is his background story on Leonardo, artist and inventor extraordinaire. If you are of a literary bent (or maybe "twisted" would be a better word) you may find it fun. Otherwise, you can move swiftly on to the next cuddly animal story. Oops. First time I've posted a Word document. I see it doesn't open directly on screen, it shows up as a download which you click to open, or you may have to open it from your Downloads folder. Apologies for complicating your life.

I think you may be suffering from rapture of the deep. (A technical explanation of this term can found in divers online reference sources).

Well, I was in the deep end of the neighbor's pool today (they are out of town) so you may be right......but I'm more inclined to think the euphoria was a result of prolonged happy hour.
