Yes, all true.... Camaro platforms! GM developed several beautiful HARDTOP designs they could have manufactured; the problem is, NO ONE wants them! There is virtually NO market for these kinds of vehicles. The CLOSEST THING I could buy resembling the El Mirage (another 2-dr GM hardtop style exercise) was the, now defunct, 2-dr ATS (also utilizing a Camaro platform). And trust me, I couldn't even find one. They had to order it! NO ONE WANTS CARS LIKE THIS ANYMORE....HA, no one wants cars period!Â
We are a NATION of FOUR DOOR TRUCKS, CROSS-OVERS AND SUVS! ....like it or not. Furthermore, in 85 years or so.... we will BE A NATION OF FOUR DOOR UNI-DIRECTIONAL, SELF DRIVING, ELECTRIC PODS!

Very stylish but it needs portholes, Dynaflow and a FashionAire Dynastar grill. 😆Â
Al, just imagine if those "porthole, Dynaflow & FashionAire Dynastar grill folks" could have seen this Buick back in the day? They would've lost their minds! No doubt something you could've charged admission to for years!

Chris I'm glad to know what I have to look forward to in 85 years. I'm 81 now so that should be a treat.
a-vista (vista=a mental view of a succession of remembered or anticipated events)
or perhaps it came from "hAsta la VISTA exciting cars", thankfully there are still several exciting cars out there...
you nailed Al, Avista is a Japanese-Opel-AstonMartin mix with very little Buick. That why I said "generic", however still visually pleasing for the non-purist Buick fan.
