It will boast a 9000 RPM, 625 HP flat-plane crank V8. See Motor Authority's article here.

The flat-plane crank V8 has a very "Ferrari-ish" exhaust note to it.
I am so afraid you are right, Marty.....
@marty-johnson, there's a guy near us that has a Shelby GT 350 with the flat-plane crank. It is a sweet sound!

@jkuvakas - As are all forms of music, the exhaust note is a matter of subjective taste. Personally, I find "Ferrari" music to be intoxicating. When I pull up next to a Ferrari on the street, I lower my window. My wife asks why because for her it's annoying and noisy. I tell her I want to hear the MUSIC!
you wanted to ask me something, John.....??

I agree........and the sound of a Ducati motorcycle is equally intoxicating IMO.
intoxicating! Seriously? While I find the car itself fantastic looking and I’m sure a true road rocket , that sound to my ears is just straight pathetic! Give me a American big block V8 any day!😍😍
@larry-kemling - Yes, intoxicating! As I mentioned in my comment, it IS a matter of subjective taste.
Some years back, my brother-in-law owned a Ferrari. He let me use it for an entire weekend. While I drove the car, I never turned on the radio. I just wanted to listen to the wail of the fine Ferrari music! It's a different "music" from the cross-plane engines commonly found in American V8s. Like you, I enjoy the rumble of most American V8 engines. It's like classical and jazz music. Both genres are fine music, but they're different. It's the same with the wail of the flat plane and the rumble of the cross-plane. 😀
I like 'em all as well. But, to my ears, there's nothing quite as sweet as an Italian V8 or V12 near the redline.
