Lorraine and I decided to visit the JAMES J. HILL HOUSE today. Let me tell you, this is history! Hill is the man who built the Great Northern Railway.

The home, now a historical museum is 36,500 square feet and has 42 rooms. It sits on the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River and the City of St. Paul.

IMAGINE MY SURPISE to find copies of my "MINNESOTA'S GOLDEN AGE OF WRESTLING" book on display while on the tour through the house.
Have to say, it made me smile. 🙂

Impressive!  So what is the tie in theme between your book and this mansion George?

The "tie-in" would be that my book was published by the Minnesota Historical Society.  Though I didn't know my book was there, there are other Minnesota related artifacts in the museum.  The James J. Hill house is on historic Summit Ave. in St. Paul not far from the Catholic Cathedral and the State Capitol.

Now that is cool George!   Honestly, that seems like a local-interest newspaper or TV story to me.    ....just say'n   😏 😏

A quaint little cottage! WOW - just look at that wood; what a magnificent place! Maybe Jim Hill enjoyed TV wrestling and bought your book to stay up to date with the cast of characters? Alright, so he died in 1916, maybe his grandson, Louis W. Hill, Jr. was a fan!

Cool stuff, thanks for posting!

Thanks George for the pictures and story. You should be proud to know that your book will be preserved for all to see.
