The Donna Reed Show first season was Edsel, then subsequent seasons were Mercurys.
My Three Sons' first three seasons were Chevrolets.
Hazel = Fords
Ozzie and Harriet = Chrysler products
Father Knows Best = Ford and Mercury
And of course, Bonanza was Chevrolet.
Thanks for the memories ! I remember some of those great car commercials and the real ones in the series,too.
P.S. Many years ago I recall a collector found and restored the black "Hawaii-Five-O" Mercury that McGarrett used in the series.
Thanks ! I'll take all of then in real and model form !
I'm having a hard time trying to remember which automobile company sponsored 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea' and / or 'Star Trek'.Â
Anyone else ?

Mike;
I am fairly sure from Sergio's recent Facebook comments that he is doing that Mercury sedan and one color will be black a la McGarrett.

Are his modeling skills as good as yours ?Â
SteveÂ
@100ford2003 Now THAT is funny! Truth be told, he has ZERO modeling skills and not much more mechanical ability and couldn't tell you the difference between a Ferrari and a Firebird. He's a Ph.D. professor that travels all over the world; he just returned from a 3 week "romp"Â through Europe.
If I'm watching a U.S. classic, I'll keep my eyes out for the first 'featured' car to come along, as a sign of things to come. Â An interesting thing I've noticed is how market targeters (to coin a phrase) seemed to pitch movie space to different auto manufacturers. Very often the gritty longshoreman movies like On The Waterfront will feature all Fords,. Whereas a Douglas Sirk movie might feature all Chrysler products - notably Imperials.
