Of course, American Motors didn't actually make a Super Rebel (as far as I know) but some years ago I took my 1/18 Ertl AMX and my 1/18 Yat Ming Rebel and (only in the computer!) grafted an AMX front end onto a Rebel and made a "Super Rebel" automobile. I also changed to color (in the computer) from red to an orange shade.

Thanks ! Sometimes one wonders what may have actually been economically possible for a car company to do in those years and whether they actually would have done it !

I understand a rear bumper was also used for the front of the Ford 1969 Talladega to make it more aerodynamic. Perhaps using something they already have on hand could be more possible than tooling up a new part.

Thanks all. If only producing real 1:1 cars were as comparatively easy, lol ! Silly Smile

They could have made the Charnet, '66 Charger interior & front clip on a '67 Coronet R/T convertible. All parts in the bin.

Nice ! That one looks excellent and would have also made a terrific automobile, in my view.
