A lot of times when a custom conv is made the car looks awful with the top up, but this looks factory

I agree 101% Question, on the '60 Impala. What purpose do those 1/2 headlight covers serve and what are they called ?

Odd interior in the 61 Impala. Love the 2 "sleepers" & of course the 56 Nomad.

In 1970 I believe that Chevrolet actually intended to offer a convertible
Monte Carlo. I have seen the literature sent to dealers. And it may have been in some ordering books also. But something last minute pulled the plug. It did look like a nice car. Does anyone know if any were built. Maybe for an auto show?

Steve, those chrome "half-moons" or "half-covers" on the headlights...
...serve no real purpose other than to "jazz up any car."
They were a popular 1950's & '60's add on to give any car a custom or cool look by making the headlights appear as smooth chrome discs. Personally, I never like them.
