Here is a late 1930's advertisement for the great-looking International emergency vehicle on duty in Cleveland. It would make a great replica in any scale !
A few things do come to mind, however :
(1) The two officers seem entirely too gleeful to be racing around town in their new International truck. Sheesh, take it easy, guys .........there are plenty of bad guys and injured people to go around for everyone !
(2) Apparently they are fearful of a badly injured patient attempting to escape the vehicle out the back and have placed bars on the rear windows and vents. If you are unconscious and seriously hurt, please don't attempt to flee out the back !
(3) With Cleveland divided into 12 (count 'em) zones, what happens when you quickly cross from one zone to another ? Do you have to fill out paperwork or get clearance ?
(4) With the advertisement stating crime lowest in 10 years and traffic fatalities down 47 % already in the late 1930's, do you now days get much richer and gain great lifetime and wealth if you move to Cleveland ?
COOL piece Mike. As always, some fascinating and thought provoking car material!
