An oddball car really...but I have always liked it. I would certainly like to see it done in a quality 1:43 scale.

To me, this is a very handsome car. Especially the C-pillar and rear end styling.

PIC: I always thought...

The Marlin came into its own when they moved it to the full-size Ambassador platform. To my eye, the proportions were far more attractive. The fastback looked like it belonged on the car rather than squeezed onto it.

Here's a '67.

I had a white one and really liked it. I sold it in 1975 and always wished I hadn't. Two days after I sold it the guy that bought it (the Marlin was showroom nice) came in to see me and he was on crutches and said he had totaled it the day after he bought it.

I always thought the longer version looked less sporty....we all see things differently.

I never liked any AMC cars. Have to admit there are some nice ones here, though.
