in all its gaudy glory. Though not really a fan of this GTX genre, the black color made it more presentable but it needed a different personality, in my view.

I think the fender mounted indicators were there by law - weren't they? Perhaps the designers would have preferred to submit #2, too.
I prefer the look of the second example but to be honest this original car never grabbed me at all.
I like the original. Sorry.

@terryslekar, I generally agree. But, there are certainly examples where the removal of some chrome trim can be very tasteful. The Bullitt Mustang and Mannix Dart come to mind. I think this is exactly what your well-done work shows us, Terry. They are tasteful enhancements of the original design. I see them as making the final product a unique version of the original, something I might consider doing if I had that car and the resources to do the work.
