....one of my favorite body styles that I believed might respond to some modifications. So, I gave it some!
As found:
In monochrome, lowered a bit:
Retained the vinyl top but raised the rocker panel line:
Note that the modified photos have have a discrete stainless tailpipe added.

July issue of Classic Car has an article about the 1970 - 1972 Monte Carlos.
They pictured this triple green '70 that looks just like the one I owned back then
I traded it for a new 74 Charger. Not a good decision. Wish I'd kept that Monte!!

@david-vandermeer: Very nice ride, David. I was still driving used cars in '70 but had stepped up to 1-2 year old more deluxe models. That vintage Monte Carlo, when new, was out of my range.
