PICS: A very stately '51 Chrysler New Yorker Sedan in a deep blue hue......
probably the last car in this world that anyone would modify. But, appreciating the classic lines of the car, I thought it might benefit with less chrome and with a few nips and tucks.

Now you're getting close. Take off those whitewalls and it'll look just like a staff car for oh, maybe, Stalin. No, add some red flags to the front fenders. Now you got it.

I can see some value in sectioning, lowering, removing some trim.
Your last example is pretty good based on the assumption that you allowed for full legroom and headroom as you built the new tubular frame. And of course large disc brakes at all corners. I would prefer the stone shield be left in place to give definition to the rear fenders. And the hood ornament is a MUST.
