Here is a softcover illustrated book of about 80 pages highlighting American automobile designs from the end of the 1930's through about 1970, using color sketches and renderings used by automotive designers to show ideas and concepts. It is really interesting and filled with exceptionally cool automotive dreams and possible concepts. I got it some years ago and I would highly recommend it.

Here are a few more concepts done by automotive designers at the time and prepared for the car manufacturers as they worked on future concepts.
