(PICS) I have often wondered how Danbury Mint, feel free to jump in here

Rick Hanmore, arrived at the decisions they did , when it came to which cars to do next, in diecast . I mean, we have all, I know I did just about everything I could think of, bugged the hell out of them to do the ones we wanted desparately.

We made lists, had contests, pestered, sent them pics., and brochures, even names of people who had that '58 Continental, or '59 Dodge, or '63 Riviera, or '61 Plymouth, or '57 Olds, or '61 Pontiac,etc.,etc.,

Not, that what we got instead was bad, on the contrary, many were fabulous, just not what we were asking for.

I mean, how did they arrive at the '58 Packard Hawk, '51 Ford, '49 Olds, '37 Stude Dictator, '41 &'48 Chevy, '71 Mustang, '50 & '51 Studebakers, etc., and the list goes on..

Yet, no '57 Imperial, '58 Continental, and others I have mentioned above, along with our contest winners. Yes, they were working on these, but DM had been doing diecast for what?, 30 years, and we never got them

I miss 'em, long for 'em, want 'em......

Since it is definitely all over and a done deal at DM, at this point I would imagine...

... it shouldn't be a problem for Rick to speak freely about the production selection process. It's always been a deep, dark "skunk works" situation room classified secret that required high levels security clearance to know. Perhaps due to the DM Freedom of Information Act, it's OK to publish the process.

DM is out of the business. What harm could it POSSIBLY do at this point.

It isn't like anyone is going to lose their jobs. They already have.
