Without spare:
I love these cars just as they came but just needed to see if more is less, in this instance.
Your thoughts?
Enjoy!
BRAVO! Blasphemy or not, I LOVE the transition. Not sure where the spare has to go, rear bumper or hidden below (if even feasible) but the cleaner lines look absolutely awesome my friend!!
Well done, a new high water mark for your work.

You said it best...Sacrilege.
Sorry, but I'll take the original look. I've just never been able to accept any kind of reconstruction surgery on cars...or people. With the exception in regard to people if it is life-saving in nature.

I never did like fender mounted spares.

I think it's impossible to change these regal and elegant old beauties; they were masterpieces. Good effort to do so though Terry.

I semi-agree; I do't like custom cars normally but I do like changing stock factory parts between different years, still keeping it all factory just changing bolt on/in parts to make the best of the '68 - '70 Chargers[in my opinion only]; the '68 body & trim for the grill & tail lights but I prefer the '70 Charger SE real leather interior with the high back seats and the [phony]wood grain dash. Add the '70 drive train the 440X6 which was not available in '68 leaving the best of the '68 - '70 Chargers. Another example, what I call the Charnet a mix of the '66 Charger & '67 Coronet convertible parts making the best of the '66 - '67 Coronet + Charger in my opinion yet all factory parts. Another the '61 Galaxie body with the '64 Galaxie XL bucket seat interior & 427 drive train neither available in the '61; '60 - '64 Galaxie the parts just bolt on/in, like the Chargers.
