PICS/VIDEO: The original Ford SHO
I ran a Ford dealership in '88-'89. These first SHO's were absolutely wild. I had to as demos and they were a blast. Here's a great article detailing exactly how amazing the engine was.

You are right John. I had three as company cars and loved each one.
1989, 1990 and 1991
I bought a new one in '89, pewter in color with black leather interior, and I loved it! Once you got used to the outrageous torque steer, it was a real hoot!
I had two of those beasts. Both white with stick shift and cloth interiors. Sold my first to one of my salesmen who kept begging me for it. The second was a year newer. Waiting for me at the Ford store. Both were Brass Hat cars. Previously driven by Ford factory types. But these things were AWESOME. One night I road-raced a guy in an Acura NSX that just gave up. After we both had had enough he asked What IS THAT THING? He got run down by a four door Taurus.
Hahaha....great story. I would have paid to see his shocked face.
