Use rigid, stackable plastic tubs and keep them raised off the concrete floor.

I think the temperatures would have to be more extreme than they get in most locations before...
any damage would occur. That being said, just to be safe when my collection was much larger, I stored the bulk of it in a climate-controlled storage facility on an upper floor.

our area gets down to the teens once or twice a season, it's the cold I am concerned about.
