Oh my goodness. Just remarked at not hearing her for so long when Sirius recently played her in, "A Total Eclipse of the Heart" and that distinctive voice. RIP!

Especially in Rock, many of the older stars are now leaving us. I know my Mom and Dad were sad when many of the big-band stars and crooners they knew as younger kids and adults and grew up with exited stage right. The band upstairs is incredible ! (And gets better all the time.)

I consider her singing the title song from Faster than the Speed of Night to be Jim Steinman's masterpiece.
