perhaps a caring stranger will rescue these unfortunate orphans......and then give them nice homes until they can be adopted
How did they even figure it needed topping-up in the first place? Do Teslas have an audible warning? And wouldn't it say "You need to recharge your battery pretty soon" rather than "Go find a gas station ASAP"? The mind boggles.
Just wonder if the whole thing was staged for a laugh. But then again, maybe not.
By the way, when it comes to "Maybe doing it right now would be a good idea", this old Australian video of a Russian plane taking off is worth a look.

@graeme-ogg ......the Russian airplane went to great lengths to obscure the craft`s ability to levitate,at-will,from a fixed position
...........also.....and this may have been a purposeful ruse......the nose of the plane,in full profile, looks just like a baby seal
Judging by their body language I would say the Tesla fill up was definitely for real. Damned scary that these people roam the earth.

I say......we put `em on Judge Judy and let the chippies fall where they might

Good call as always JayBee; Judge Judy, Judy, Judy always gets it right. Just imagine those Tesla girls trying to find their way in to an Isetta!
I'm ALWAYS incredulous when I see "stuff" like this. Yeah, it's funny (sad too) and of course, anything is possible, but I find it hard to believe.
I figure this was being filmed as part of a prank show, or college students collecting data for their Psych-course, etc..
In college, we did a fair amount of "shocking things" while others, with note pads, jotted down reactions, behaviors, expressions, etc...
I'm inclined to agree. I mean, all joking apart, Tesla and their products have had a vast amount of publicity and even the least savvy or technically-minded amongst us knows their cars are all-electric. Whether these lassies owned the car or hired it, they would know or would have have been given instructions on what to do when it was running out of "juice". The video is a good laugh but yes, I think it was a prank.

Exactly!
- If either owned the car, then obviously they'd know better.
- If someone loaned them the car, you'd assume explicit instructions (repeated 10 times...LoL ) would be part of the favor.
- Again, anything is possible..... but IMO, this was staged.
@chris & Graeme...you people have clearly lost your faith in the average intelligence of our species. Need I remind you of...that...thread!!
