There was a recent rerun of Fantomworks restoration of a 1960 in which Dan said if someone else rides up with another 1960 Lincoln he would tell him to ride on out of there.

Yes, these padded top Lincoln conversions are very rare. It seems I read somewhere that only 100 or so were ever produced.
No matter how you slice it, that’s one ugly car! Even the Edsel looks better…just sayin’…

I love the Continentals with their breezway back windows...not so much this conversion.
Oh yes, very rare. Only 49 Executive Limos and 78 Formal or Town Sedans were built, all special orders. Essentially the same, Limos were distinguished by a glass divider panel between the front and rear seat and a few other goodies. Limos sold for $10,230 and Town Sedans for $9,208. Both were equipped with all factory options.
I was watching The Lucy Desi Comedy hour a while back and a Town Sedans was featured in the episode guest starring Ernie Kovacs. I remember Ethel couldn't believe that there was a telephone in the car and that you could actually use it to make a phone call. How times have changed!
