1965 while in the Army I first heard Simon & Garfunkel in a motel room, with a dusting of snow, looking out the second floor window feeling alone and the radio played "I am a Rock" and I fell in love with their music.

Bookends in '68 cough my attention and the line of "how terribly strange to be 70" always made me wonder what it would be like to be 70 and if I would make it that far.  My best friend who lives 5 hours away and plays the guitar visited me in my 70th year and played it for me.  Now such fond memories, that was 5 hip replacements & 3 knee replacements ago.
