WE DID IT!
On January 12th, Lorraine and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary! Our daughters had shirts made for us to commemorate our great event.
A half century of being blessed in ways we'll never be able to give a enough thanks for.
We treated ourselves to a trip to Disney World and were happy at how special they made us feel, knowing that it was our anniversary. We were truly treated like royalty.
Along with many congratulations given to us, we were amazed at the number of times we were asked, "What's your secret?". Seems everyone is searching for an answer to that question. Our response was simply, "Always put each other first". Another answer we gave often was, "We say I love you when we get up each morning, we say I love you several times throughout each day, and we say I love you before we go to sleep each night". And there are many hugs throughout each day too. Finally our last answer shared was, "Always remember the reasons you fell in love".
The lessens we've learned on our journey is to always be there for each other, be patient, be understanding, and be forgiving. Not sure these are secrets, but they've worked for us. So we continue on our road to forever together, one day at a time with many hugs thrown along the way to make every day, our best day.

THANKS EVERYONE!
In a world today that often shows little respect for the importance of a man and woman coming together as one, we are humbled that we've been blessed to reach this milestone.
Myself growing up in a divorced parent family and living in foster homes as a young kid, I'm thankful every day for God giving me Lorraine to spend my life with. Back in 2020 after celebrating our 46th anniversary, we received the unwanted news of Lorraine's cancer.
We endured her time in the hospital, all her chemo treatments and her struggle back to health. This was also the COVID year, so it added to the ordeal. We honestly had a few times when we felt we had to prepare for the worst. Nothing has ever been tougher to endure on our journey together. I remember her saying when she got sick, "I wanted us to make it to our 50th".
Through a lot of prayer, working together, and God walking with us, reaching the 50th this year, is even more a blessing. Whatever FOREVER is for us, we want to share it together.
