very nice....
and great colors, too...
I always find it very easy to understand why you Americans fell in love with this car...
well, Jack...
then here's my ultimate questions...
what happened to them ????
do you still own them.....or at least one of them ????
The 1965 2&2 was totalled; hit by a drunk driver when it was parked. It was bought from salvage by a body shop owner, restored and exists today...same owner. Only 11,000 miles logged on it since restoration. Made me very happy when I found all this out a couple of years ago. Wouldn't it be a great story if I could buy it back one day?
I traded in the 1966 Mustang coupe on a Toyota pickup. I do know that it was rear-ended and written off in 1975 though.
@jack-dodds, Just a small favor, Jack. If I die and come back as a car, please don't buy me.

@jkuvakas Lol. Something tells me the colors would not be to my liking!
How exciting was that auction ? ? ?
I have always loved the early 2+2 Mustangs but was never enthused with the notch back coupes even though they were the best selling body style.
@bob-jackman My fave body style of the early Mustanges id the 2&2 by far. I like the coupe in the GT trim level, with vinyl roof. My 66 coupe was orange with a black vinyl roof (though not a GT) and upgraded wheels....which helped the look.
