US Navy 59-63. Seems like an eternity ago.
Thanks for your service fellas! Â
Happy Veteran's Day ! Their sacrifice enables us to be free and almost no thanks can be enough. My Dad and grandfather and uncles all served in WWI or WWII.
I served- USARMY- 1969-1971-
Thanks for your service, I’m not a veteran but 4 of my brothers are plus a niece.

Thanks and God bless you all. I didn't serve. Vietnam was winding down when I graduated high school in '71. Yeah I thought about joining the service but I never did. My family needed me to go to work ASAP so we could put food on the table and a roof over our head.
My dad fought hard for us to come out from New York to live with him in California he came out here in 65 and he had us all come out in 67 to live with him and he worked his butt off I mean really work his butt off to make sure that we were here all together I love my dad I miss him every freaking day he died in 1987 at the age of 54.
I'm sorry to kind of get so personal here right now but I'm sorry.

Don't be sorry about being personal; you're among friends here. Condolences on your dad.

VERY cool Mike! My dad was born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy. He was a twin and 3rd oldest of 9 children. The family came to America in 1912. They naturalized and dad and his 4 brothers all served in WWII. A couple, I was told, actually went back and fought in Italy. Dad served on board the USS Pittsburgh CA-72 in the Pacific theater.
