Out shoveling MORE snow this morning, I naturally think of how nice it will be when Spring finally comes and won't have to deal with the White stuff any more.

And speaking of WHITE and Spring, my eyes landed on this incredible Land Yacht on my Garage Wall.  Now this invokes SPRING!

1958 BUICK LIMITED CONVERTIBLE

A "Fashion Aire Dynastar Grille" and dual "Vista-Vision" headlamps were among the many glittery highlights of the chrome-encrusted '58 BUICK LIMITED.  It delivered a diverse array of interior comfort.  The Limited nameplate was revived as the the new top-line series for Buick this year.  Brochures claimed that the Buick Limited "looks and feels like flight on wheels".

@jack-dodds: I agree, Jack, this car needs a longer wheelbase to support the length.

The Air Born B-58 Buick is one of my favorites of the 50's, esp. in Limited trim.  Wouldn't you really rather have a big, bold, buoyant 1958 Buick?  Of course you would.  When better cars are built, Buick will build them.

@georgeschire: Could be right, George. PICS: How about this comparison. Didn't spend much time editing and the wheelbase could be tuned a bit more, but it gives a view of the car with less overhang.

I really love this giant Buick ! It's one of my favorites and especially in the long Limited form. This extra length adds to it's allure and sets it apart from the also-beautiful standard Buicks from 1958. In 1/43 I have the '58 Special in convertible form from Vitesse and in 1/18, 5 of the stunning Limited versions from SunStar.

@mikedetorrice, with 5 Sun Star 1:18's, I'm guessing you do like the '58.
