The last Chrysler car, a 300 sedan, rolled off the assembly line in Ontario last Monday (11th ) leaving only the Pacifica in Chrysler's portfolio. Within a few years vehicles will return to the brand but it's still sad. I've owned at least one Chrysler (or MoPar car ) since the age of 14. I just like Chryslers.
I assume this one will be destined for the Chrysler museum. Sad to see...but understandable I guess.
Good looking car. Most all the makers are gearing up for the electric car I guess.

Well, not exactly; they're gearing up for hybrids too. Currently, that seems to be favored over PEVs. But all cars are dead, ICE, EV, BEV PEV....it doesn't matter. Global consumer demand is much stronger for crossovers, trucks & SUVs.

Oh yeah; I forgot the hybrids! I sure do miss the days when there were so many cars. I miss Mercury, Olds, Plymouth and all the make-me-smile rides that used to be!
So sad, when you think about how in the '50s, '60s and '70s, to own a Chrysler New Yorker was truly something to aspire to...my favorite car brand relegated to a single minivan

OMG Tony I miss those brands and the automotive "old days" SO MUCH! That includes the gas stations and car dealerships of old as well; what a great culture it was.

It really was - wasn't it. At least we can say that we saw and experienced it.
When I retired (2012) I turned in my Blackberry and do not own, to this day, a 'smart' phone. I'm accused of being a Neanderthal but that's OK. My archaic flip phone still sync's on the car's phone system and I carry a separate camera so, as far as I'm concerned - everything is Jake!
@perrone1 LOL...my kids shake their heads at why I don't bother to upgrade to an I-Phone. Call me Jackasaurus I guess, I'm good with that.
I agree Tony, I am grateful to have been born in 1952 and had the exposure to the greatest time in automotive history IMHO.

AMEN Brother.
I was laid up when I was 5 years old back in 1952. I contracted polio. Couldn't walk until 1954 but I recall the announcement of your birth - it was all the talk in Florida! Word traveled far back in the Good Old Days - ha!
@perrone1 I'm sorry to hear of that very challenging time in your life Tony; I would guess that overcoming such a significant obstacle would certainly give a person an appreciation for life.
Regarding the news of my birth making it all the way to Florida.....that would have been the awarding of the prize to my parents for having the homeliest baby of the year in Canada. The prize was grief counselling and cash apparently.
I'm very sorry to hear this. I love cars but not so much SUVs, trucks etc. Sad to see most North American production has moved from automobile production. That 300 was a beautiful car.
Tony, I'm glad to see you here enjoying life and surviving early adversities. For most of us, the last half century has been an interesting and great time to be alive.

PLEASE ALLOW ME TO APOLOGIZE in advance, but I'm compelled to chime in! 😀 😀 😀
Although I'm younger by more than a decade and have had a cell phone since the 1990's, I too was a "Neanderthal-holdout!" I used to keep my flip-phone in my car, using it only for emergencies. After being RIDICULED ENDLESSLY, I finally "caved" in 2016.
The ease of convenience...compared to having a separate flip-phone & camera...is like night & day. Plus, there's "4,000" other features.
Lastly, I must tell you: The first "key-less vehicle" I purchased was in 2010. All I needed was the fob. Well, fobs are slowly being phased out in favor of smartphones. The next new Cadillac you purchase will most likely not have a fob....just a dealer-provided-secure-sync to your smartphone.
What are YOU going to do? Your flip-phone will not be able to start your car. Things will not be "JAKE!"
😀 🤔 😀 🤔 😏 🤔 😀 🤔 😏 🤔 😀
Jack & David, truer words never spoken my brothers!
Chris, you're right, I've heard that. When it comes I will just quietly but begrudgingly get onboard. I'm a fast learner, try not to complain too much and in my world there is ALWAYS a way to make things, 'Jake'.
As David said (I love this man!) I survived early adversities. I survived 20 major surgeries; I have endured two heart attacks, a stroke, what was termed as terminal cancer in 2005, but all of it paled in comparison to losing my only natural child, my daughter and her husband of five years, to a drunk driver. Most of the folks here knew that in 2003.
I have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (less than 40% of the organ works), and arteriosclerosis. So, for me, every day is a gift. These forums and the folks here are a blessing. Yeah, it's ALL Jake!!
.....I'll be quietly crawling back into my hole now. I feel like an idiot for even posting my light-hearted comments. I'm very sorry to hear about those profoundly sad losses in your life. As I recall, you survived Vietnam too. What a life!
