The late, lamented Chevy Vega

In the beginning, 96% of the Vegas produced were still on the road, the rest made it home.

The Vega has a great frontal crash rating… The tow truck usually absorbs most of the impact.

LOL.
I shouldn't laugh about this. I did my best to steer my grandparents away from buying one. Well, at least they didn't buy a Pinto ! At one time I had a lime green Chevette as a work car...YUCK !!
Lamented ?? Lol, I don't think so ! One definition is 'an expression of grief or sorrow'. Umm,
I'm definitely not feeling that today or any other day for that matter..lol.
Lol. I'm surprised it was that many made it home.
Lol....perfect!
Great gas mileage for the same tow truck reason I suppose.....
I had a 74 Pinto with the 2.3L engine for my work; it was a great & dependable car (that was never rear-ended). I am ashamed to admit that I also once had a Chevette, with an automatic tranny....what a complete and utter POS. It could barely pull itself up the driveway.
But maybe not under their own power Jack.
Lol.... I guess I was lucky as it was all flat land where I drove.
But I do recall a few intances with speed bumps !! lol
The 350 conversion done properly was quite a beast though!
