the Robbe U-2540 RC submarine .....out of my reach (pic)

About ten years ago I decided to build the Robbe U-2540 RC-submarine.
I have always been fascinated by submarines and this one was awesome.
Built during the last years of WWII it never went into active service and that was a good thing, since Hitler had plans to get to the US-east coast with some nasty rockets floating behind them.
Anyway you look at it, this U-2540 was a real submarine, way above anything else they themselves built or what the allies made.
This one could really stay underwater for many days.
But let's return to my RC-boat.
I bought it from a man in Berlin, Germany.
He stopped building it, for reasons I can't remember anymore.
I had it shipped to my place and when it arrived I really got an idea how big it had to be, close to 2 meters !
I wanted to make it into a static boat, with a real way of diving, not unlike the way it came out of the box, where it would need speed to get underwater.
Building went quite well, but after some time I found out that the electronics I needed to get this working safely, were out of my way of understanding.
After finding no help, I managed to sell it again.
But whenever I see a picture of it, I am in awe....
I also sold my other submarine which I bought in the meantime: also a German one: the dreaded Type VII !
Here are some images from Robbe's website and from the real Wilhelm Bauer in Bremerhaven.photo no longer available
