....interesting commentary/insight. And for what it's worth, better than 95% of the time I will locate the "coral" and return my cart.
Why? Because "100 years ago" as a young high school/college student "sweeping the lot" was part of my job. Today, when I see those high torque motorized "pusher-carts" with their flasher-lights and safety colors I just shake my head. Me and my cohorts (from "100 years ago" ) would've really liked those! 😣
Or just plain lazy.
That's it right there Frank...lazy. I have noticed that they almost always take a quick look around to make sure no one is watching before leaving the cart. So they know better. Lol.
I feel pretty much the same about dog poo.

For sure David. The people who wind me up are the ones who half way do the right thing; they bag it up ...then leave it.
What cracked me up was watching people that are going to the gym circle the parking lot to park as close to the entrance as possible, isn't walking considered a good exercise?
OK, bragging a bit here…I picked up my 9 year old grandson from school Friday to spend the weekend with me and stopped at the local supermarket. Not only did he return the cart but he also lined up the ones that were already there.
”I wanted to make it easier for the cart guy pawpaw”…so proud of the boy.

Excellent! No doubt his parents planted that thought.
