Gramma was always fully dressed around the house....and took literally seconds to spring out the front door in her pearls, just for the opportunity to ride in a passenger car

Billy was ambidextrous....and gave his six-shooters that special "booster push" when he fired them, willy nilly, out the car window when ever he perceived another imaginary living being

Susie never considered riding on the transmission hump, giving Gramma a break for once, but fully supported a Patriarchal society for her own foreseeable future

Dad seemed fixated on the swell time he and Helen had enjoyed aboard the backseat "L ticket" back in `58......and now drove endlessly through well tended pastureland from Fridays after work until dawn the following Monday......never once did he find it the least bit ODD that he and his nuclear family seemed to be the only ones left here on earth

As much as they loved their son Stanley "Drive By" Livingston, Mom and Dad grew tired of him spraying the neighborhood with lead on family drives every Sunday.  Thankfully, as part of his probation order, Uncle Steve Douglas took him in and with the recommendation of Uncle Charlie, signed him up with the NRA where he slapped leather well into adulthood.

The little Livingston chap can be seen drawing down on Granny as soon as she cleared the front doorway......this early display of misogyny was a critical factor in little Stanley`s being re-homed to an all male household........all this,to the dismay of "Mike",who was forced to permanently forgo his third son status in the Douglas household

@john-barry It's an age-old story JayBee......the eldest son giving it all up for the love of a good woman; thus creating an opportunity for a needy child; providing him with new glasses and braces for his teeth.

not the least bit certain how this scenario relates to that straight man who showed up at the Shady Rest in the late sixties, but you gotta admit, similarities abound with Steve Elliot and the banished Mike Douglas

Yes and he even cut a record or two....in which he proved his value as a talk show host.
