This is Jack Calori's 36 Ford 3-Window Coupe, customized in 1947-48 and possibly the cleanest ever 30's vintage fat-fender custom.....

but while loving the car, I never liked the too busy front bumper with the Lincoln bumper guards and grill protector. I also believed the car might look better with less stuff on it. Then I got to editing the top and body, just to see what it looked like and offer selected results for your viewing pleasure.

As found:

36 Ford 3 Winodow Coupe Calori 1

Mildly dechromed with the bumper cleaned up:

36 Ford 3 Winodow Coupe Calori 2

With the 3" top chop returned to about normal top height:

36 Ford 3 Winodow Coupe Calori 3

Normal top height with the body sectioned at the beltline:

36 Ford 3 Winodow Coupe Calori 4

Section remains with the original 3" top chop:

36 Ford 3 Winodow Coupe Calori 5

I invite your courteous comments. Do you prefer the original or one of the edits?

Enjoy!
