@jack-dodds I love her early work with the Skylarks, but for anyone who may be interested, here's a clip from 1963 Cannes, singing The Lion Sleeps Tonight (Mbube) as many may never have heard it sung.

I remember seeing many different acts on Ed Sullivan and can't remember all the names. The one show I'll always remember was the Sunday night in 1964 when America got to see The Beatles, it seems like yesterday, and changed the music scene here.

@charles-rockett    this was not at all what I expected to hear....she had such a strong stage presence.....she seemed to stop her narrative very abruptly to leap into the song......and that cutaway shot to the tall ceiling>>PERFECT
