WOW; not just a VW Wagon but with Vista Cruiser roof!

I have always wondered why VW didn't build a 4 dr. sedan and station wagon from the early Beetle design. I think it would have sold well back in the day.
I understand there were taxi versions in Europe but not sure if there were many made.
