@frank

Wow.  I wonder what they could use as a base for the mechanicals and platform.

However in this SUV crazed era where size, weight and bully-thy-neighbor attitude seem to be a part of the nouveau riche luxo experience I doubt a new American sports car or grand coupe would be taken seriously.  I bet that shape would sell as a Jag, or even a Bentley or Aston Martin!

Hmmm...now that you mention it, they could use the Mustang Platform. It has all the right ingredients, it's flexible and RWD.

I'd be interested in one.  I hate only seeing bulky SUV's and over-sized Pick-Up Trucks on the road.

And I hate driving behind them.

@paul-rouffa and George, hear hear gentlemen! Creative car design, over the ages, and influenced by so variable factors is one of the main reasons I'm an enthusiast. There may have been some advances with SUV design in recent years, although mainly cosmetic, but the 4 seater pickups are just one homogeneous bore! I'm embarrassed to tell you our biggest selling vehicle here in Australia is the Toyata Hilux. I cringe at the thought. Of course they have their use and place, but I cant tell them apart, I'd suggest only a salesperson or owner can!
