I think it looks great with the top down, but with it up I don't care for it.
I could live with it…(kind of) shades of the ‘54 Buick Skylark…

Doesn’t look right without the fins.

It is certainly at least very interesting, John ! I found a unfinned Cadillac something like this on the net a while back and/or tried a photographic alteration a while back myself just to see how it might look.
@mikedetorrice, apparently, there are several out there, each of them modified after their purchase.

That is probably a rather straight-forward alteration John ! Years ago, someone altered a real 1961 Imperials to be "fin-less"
I think I recall that if I really did my photo-shop alterations years ago, that is had some resemblance to the actual Pontiac Motor-rama Strato-Streak dream car. Also, in this white '58 Cadillac I am not sure if this is a real one or a photographic experiment I did.
Yes! I've seen the white Caddy before

It certainly is an interesting looking Cadillac. One wonders if someone were to ever come across a 1:1 1958 Cadillac with fins that were rusted/damaged, then restored sans fins and labeled a one-off secret GM prototype !
Here is a photo-shop test I did years ago as an intermediate 1958 Cadillac "straight-line fins" look. The 1/18 model is a Yat Ming.
I feel the metallic 'nude' Biarritz would benefit from a small triangle of chrome plate, leading off into a straight streak forward, in place of the fin. Conveniently bringing us back to Mike's Strato Streak.
(It would also look less 'nude' and less inviting of a spank).
- 1950's + Cadillac = Fins
- 1950's + Cadillac - Fins = 🤢 🤢 🤮
