If you have a workaround, please share it in detail with the rest of us.

if you get a free trial acct at flickr you can upload and post up to 1000 images......there are several tutorials online to get you started........if you had difficulties when you first posted pics here, you may find the flickr approach challenging
I have a flickr acct.....to post a photo I open my flickr acct, click on the upload cloud icon, and then drag my photos into flickr.......after they all indicate readyness, I click the blue upload rectangle.....all chosen photos will then be imported into flickr ///////////////////// if you can get this far and wish to go further, please respond here and I`ll resume this tutorial
Yes, but will Flickr images successfully import into the Forum? At present the system seems to be refusing to recognise images in any format. (I even tried importing a JPEG disguised as a "document" file and it was ignored.)

yes, they will Graeme....sort of...they will not import but they will display...the actual image remains on the flickr host.....the data/identifier text can be pasted into our forums, edited to leave only the pertinent info, then posted
please check my postings in 1/24 over the last few days
and here`s an example for you:
Sounds like the old days when we had to post photos via a link to Photobucket or similar! That was quite a while ago and I don't even remember how I did it back then.

@graeme-ogg, I just inserted an image from a website by right-clicking on the image, clicking on the "Copy image address", and pasting it into my post. Here's another,

good heavens man !!!!!.......you are most definitely on to something !!!!.....the image below is hosted on flickr ............I used the command "copy link address" (closest choice to your successful workaround)..

exactly so
@john-barry, And, in one fell swoop, the world is right again, children are playing, women are smiling and men are staying strong but confident. I think I hear birds singing...

Here's an easy way to insert an image from a website into your post.
- Right-click on the image
- Click on "Copy web address" or some reasonable facsimile
- Paste that code into your post (you can right-click, then "paste" or simply hit "cntrl" & "v" at the same time)
Unfortunately, this will not work on images stored on your computer or phone. Nor does it work on all images on websites. But, it will work on most.

Useful to know. But a lot of the time most of us just want to post our own pics of models we have recently acquired or have in our collection and have taken photos of. I'm not on Flickr or Instagram (and am one of those mistrustful souls who wouldn't touch Facebook with the proverbial bargepole). After the convenience that we've enjoyed up till now of posting files directly from our PC or camera, I hope we won't have to go back to the old business of uploading pictures to a photo-hosting site then linking them to the Forum?
I can't imagine our hosting site can actually have decided to permanently disable the direct loading feature, so hopefully it is just a temporary glitch in the system.
p.s. Can't actually hear any birds singing right now. Let me just check if my speaker is on mute.

@graeme-ogg, I agree. I'm hoping it's a glitch that can be rectified.

@jkuvakas - I recorded a video of a photo and downloaded it to YouTube. Then I posed the YouTube video.
Or just make a text poll and we can Google the images. Like 1959 Ford Galaxie hardtop, Chevy Impala hardtop, and Plymouth Fury hardtop.
