This morning's drivel....er....this morning's collective remarks, (intelligence steeped as always) caused me to decide to pause for several moments to reflect on the overall meaning of this thread and what it will do for mankind in the coming years. Will it contribute to saving mankind from himself, will it contribute to a new level of international respect for one another in spite of our differences, prejudices, cultures, ambitions, model scale preferences and geographical locations relative to Greenwich Mean Time? Sadly, in spite of my efforts I could not get one overwhelming thought out of my head....
.....could it be that there is simply no answer to whether life on the savannah will allow the bald spot on my arse to grow back in???

Having observed the situation for 24 hours, I’ve decided to call it a day.
Given that over the years various observers (whose unflinching honesty does them great credit, to be fair) have described my capacity for sustained social interaction as “marginal”, "markedly ineffectual“, "demonstrably sub-par”, “pathologically dysfunctional”, “effectively non-existent”, “in the lowest 5th percentile” and even “sub-reptilian”*, I feel I’ve held my own pretty well here (holding my own being one of the things I do best). But I know when I'm beat.
I think it’s now time to just sit back and watch quietly from the sidelines.
*but, curiously enough, not "simian", although on reflection I acknowledge that they probably regarded simian communication as being on a somewhat higher plane.

Sadly I have to agree with you about snipping this thread. Not that I don't enjoy it and appreciate its importance; it's the seething mob with buckets of hot tar and sacks of feathers on my lawn that have me disconcerted. I recognize some of them as Forumites too, which is strange........

I would comment on this Graeme, but then that would support your opinion that I am IQ challenged, so I won't....I'm not that stupid! And anyways, I'm not sure that "low animal" cunning is a negative thing; for example Basset Hounds and Pot Belly pigs are intelligent.
