Looks good, I just wish these new Maisto's were in 1/18 scale.   The fact that their newer models range from 1/19 - 1/20 drives me crazy!

Not sure where you snagged that grill - or perhaps you fabricated it - but it looks awesome!    😎 😎 😎

Nice work!

@chris Thanks, this truck is 1/18, havnt seen any 19 or 20 scale from Maisto. The grill is metal and was part of  some sort of candle holder which I took apart and cut it in size

without my wife's knowledge

"The grill is metal and was part of some sort of candle holder which I took apart and cut it in size without my wife's knowledge."

- Nice!  Pieces & parts must be found, regardless the source.  👍 👍

- With regard to scale, yes Maisto lists it as "1/18"  but it actually scales out closer to "1/20."    When compared to other 1/18 Chevy trucks, this Maisto (and all their other new releases are smaller ).

This HW61 Chevy pick-up, for instance, is true "1/18."

Oh man, your modifications are fantastic! First, I absolutely love the monochromatic paint. Yes, even though the hood is flat black and the truck sports that awesome black stripe accent, it is a great color blend over the stark two tone red & white. The wheels are a terrific departure and, I'm with Chris on the grille - wherever you find the 'right' parts, no harm, no foul!

Lastly, lowered and de-bumpered, the truck looks stunning! Nice work!

Interesting info, so according to GM Overall Length: ~191.5 inches on this one which divided by 18 equals to 10.611 inches, the model is 10 and 5/8 of an inch, not too far off

@modified18 ....yeah, it's close, but....   I think Maisto's '79 Ford pick-up might actually say "1/20"  on the chassis, this '74 Chevy is better than that but still not quite 1/18 (that short box not with standing).

The front clip is a bit stubby, and overall, width & height is smaller.   Again, it just bugs me because I really wanted their "new"  Buick GN, '57 Chevy, and Rivian truck but I can't deal with the smaller scales.    🙄 😯 🙄
