very basic kit unfortunately, molded on interior exterior door handles and wipers, overall low parts count. Also some lettering decals would have helped. Shame I think its a great looking car. Pictured with Automodellos 1965 Riviera, I'd almost say I prefer the 'squared up' front end of the 1966. Had a first go at BMF on some areas, couple of stuffups but it still makes a significant difference to the overall look of the model. Was hard to find BMF locally, all nearby hobby shops said chrome pens are the first choice option now. I couldn't hold the pen steady enough, but also has a problem cutting of excess with the Exacto knife.
It is, as you say, a very nice model. I find there are good days and bad days for detailing and so a project will sit on a surface waiting for one of those good days, when the hand is steadier.
Sage advice, thanks Charles!
Looks pretty darn good to me!
It looks good to me too. I've always thought the 66 Riviera was one of the most beautiful cars to ever come from a GM style studio.
@geoff-jowett This is just my own experience. It looks as though your work, (this, your Bugattis etc.) doesn't have this issue.
thanks Charles, Tony, Steve, its good fun really. Overall I'm still amazed at being able to improve my dexterity in my early 70s!

Do as many as you can now - by your late seventies, all hell breaks loose! LOL!
